Timed Flow-Through System

Creates a primarily static water environment with the advantages of a constant flow through setup. System delivers water for designated, short periods of time to provide a 5-10% water change several times daily. Water changes flush out Nitrogen build-up and other suspended solids. Heavier debris can be cleaned with a 66% tank cleaning flush. Safety feature prevents water of an incorrect temperature from reaching animals. Alarm sounds if temperatures cannot self-regulate within designated time.

Water delivery for a timed flow-through system can originate from a domestic water source (city, well), reverse osmosis (R.O.) or de-ionized (D.I.) water source.

Depending on the budget many features may be added to upgrade the control box including security code, data logging capability, modem capability, and Ethernet capability. These features would allow you to log your data and view your current parameters or receive system alarms in real time from anywhere in the world.

Timed Flow-Through System is ideal for species that naturally live in still waters (ie Xenopus leavis).
