Designed for zebrafish , medaka, minnows, guppies, killifish, and many other small fresh and salt-water species.
ZFS Racks may be purchased as stand alone units or as linked systems. Stand alone units contain a complete, re-circulating life-support water system beneath the unit (as seen in the image below). Linked Systems consist of several racks tied to one re-circulating Life Support System. This can be located under the racks, on a pallet nearby, or in an adjacent room.
An additional Supply Water System may be needed (see Basic Reservoir System and Custom Reservoir System) to replenish the unit(s) using the Automatic Reservoir Water Exchange and Re-fill Feature.
Now... Greater
Overall Capacity! Our new compact rack design has vastly increased the number of tanks per rack footprint.
And ... the Highest Capacity for Individually Housed Animals on the Market! Each 1.25L tank divides into three, separate compartments!
No exposed pipes - (that could be damaged or bumped by carts) Single and double sided racks available in numerous sizes.
New Anti-Spatter Drains! Tanks are equipped with an elongated down spout to minimize splash.
New Tank Sizes!
Tanks available in 3 interchangeable sizes. 1.25 L (shown), 3.3L and 5.5L. Arrange the rack to fit your needs.
New Baffle Design!
Tanks equipped with inverted V channel baffles for superior waste removal.
Suspended drawer caging allows for hands-free access.
Filter cartridges are tilted for easy access. Clear viewing from the front of the tanks.
Clear drip trays allow for light penetration, yet their large size prevents water from dripping into a tank below regardless of how far the tank has been pulled out. All water lines light impenetrable to prevent algae growth
The reservoir can be constructed from clear or light impenetrable materials - your choice!
Solid, 304L, passivated stainless steel rack.
The Automatic Reservoir Water Exchange and Re-fill Feature (Optional) prevents nitrates from building up within the system. It also maintains a constant water volume within the system to compensate for any water loss from usage and from natural evaporation caused by the standard high air turnovers used in the research environment.
Standard Rack Features:
Removable Filter Pad - to collect large waste particle from water entering reservoir
Reservoir - collects all water from tank overflow, site of conditional monitoring
1 Wet/Dry Filter w/ bio-media- for biological filtration of effluent
